Living Lab Umbria: notice published for 1M€

22 October - 23 December 2019

The one million euro call for projects for the two provincial Umbria Living Labs has been published in the BUR. Living Labs are environments of open innovation, in which the active involvement of end users allows the establishment of co-creation paths for new services, products and social infrastructure.

The allocation of the budget for the financing of the notice is set at 60% for projects in the province of Perugia and 40% for those in the province of Terni.

Preliminary activity carried out by Sviluppumbria, appointed by the Region to implement the notice, has identified the thematic challenges of innovative and technological solutions to improve the tourist offer; to facilitate the mobility of vehicles and people; to promote conscious consumption/reuse/recycling; to enhance cultural heritage; for the digitization of educational processes; for solutions supporting the elderly and people with disabilities; for the improvement of the level of perceived security in the cities; and for innovative solutions that encourage the development of new business models.

Each solution requesting financing must therefore be simultaneously focused on expanding the capabilities of businesses (innovation and transfer of know-how) and on identifying shared project ideas, as a response to real needs expressed by citizens, according to the typical approach of the process of open-innovation.

The grant is equal to 45% of the eligible expenditure, which can range from a minimum of 30 thousand to a maximum of 150 thousand euros. The contribution can be increased to up to 60% if the beneficiaries for the development of the project have provided for the involvement of a university or a research centre.

In order to apply for the grant, micro, small and medium enterprises and companies among professionals registered in the register of companies kept at the C.C.I.A.A. of the competent territory must have a valid digital signature and a certified e-mail address (PEC). The application must be sent by PEC from the PEC address of the applicant company as declared in the application, to the address sviluppumbria@legalmail.it Applications may be submitted from 12 noon on Wednesday 23 October, until 12 noon on Monday 23 December.
