11 Apr 2023

Our region's rich landscape and cultural attractions are appearing in the English and Dutch press.

British journalist Annabelle Thorpe visited Umbria in March. The press tour, with the support of Sviluppumbria, led the journalist to discover the southern part of Umbria, with stops in Orvieto, Todi, Spoleto, Scheggino, Sant'Anatolia di Narco and Norcia. The article was recently published in the prestigious London newspaper The Times. Read the article  here ->

In the same period, the Regional Economic Development Agency, on behalf of the Umbria Region within the integrated promotion initiative promoted by Brand Culturale, organized an event at the Italian Cultural Institute in Amsterdam. The evening was addressed by CEO Michela Sciurpa, who outlined the major events that will enliven Umbria during 2023: Umbria Jazz, Italy's most important jazz music festival and one of the most important in the world, which turns 50 this year, and the exhibition "The Best Master of Italy. Perugino in his time" that the National Gallery of Umbria has set up on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Pietro Vannucci's death. A first result of the Umbrian delegation's presence in Amsterdam is published in the Dutch online site dedicated to travel in Italy. Read the article here (in Dutch) ->
