Umbria Region and Sviluppumbria with the Umbria Nautical Cluster at METSTRADE AMSTERDAM - Marine Equipment Trade Show 2024

Today marks the successful conclusion of the Umbria Nautical Cluster's participation in METSTRADE 2024, the international exhibition dedicated to operators in the field of components and accessories for the pleasure boating industry, held in Amsterdam from 19 to 21 November 2024.

With the support of the Umbria Region and the technical assistance of Sviluppumbria, the Umbria Nautical Cluster was among the protagonists at the Superyacht Pavilion at Mets, one of the three pavilions specialising in super mega yachts, where the cluster showcased the excellence of Made in Umbria boating thanks to a collective stand curated by the Regional Economic Development Agency.

The Umbria Nautical Cluster was created with the aim of pursuing a shared project by a group of companies from our region, which are independent from each other, and which have chosen to operate by pooling their technological capabilities to meet the needs of important shipyards in the maxi yacht segment. A path that has allowed Umbrian companies to achieve important international recognition in terms of professionalism, know-how and competence in shipbuilding activities, in particular in the processing and treatment of wood, marble, metals, lighting, glass and crystal, handling, interior and exterior furnishings, complements and accessories. The Cluster now includes 13 companies in the sector.

The President of the Umbria Nautical Cluster, commenting on the success of the initiative, highlights the steady growth of the Cluster's companies with a turnover of 142 M€ and a portfolio of orders already in the pipeline for the next three years. In this context, the participation in METS Amsterdam ‘24 - also enriched by the presence of new companies joining the regional cluster's stand - is confirmed as a winning strategic choice to position Umbrian companies internationally in a sector where Italy is a world leader in superyacht shipbuilding.
