SMARTup: Public Notice in support of innovative start-ups – 2021

The call is focused on support for the creation of innovative start-ups with a high intensity of knowledge application, and research spin-offs for the economic exploitation of research results and/or the development of new products, processes and services with high innovative content in the areas of specialisation where the competitive potential is greatest, as identified in the Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialisation (RIS3). The Strategy aims at activating local potential by leveraging regional assets and talent through access to research results and the promotion of new entrepreneurship.

In particular, in line with RIS3 lever no. 3 'Promoting and supporting new knowledge-based entrepreneurship oriented towards international markets', the notice intends to contribute to fostering the growth of an entrepreneurial culture, with particular regard to knowledge intensive sectors and to making talent and qualified professionals more attractive

The Umbria Region has allocated € 1.6M which can be increased to € 2M depending on the availability of the regional budget, and is covered by the resources of the 2014-2020 ERDF ROP allocated to Action 1.3.1 of Axis I.

Beneficiaries of this notice are MSMEs established as joint stock companies (please refer to the text of the Notice for the precise definition).

Applications for grants may be filled in starting from 10 a.m. on 1 September 2021 until 12 noon on 31 December 2021 using the online service at https://serviziinrete.regione.umbria.it/ and then “SMARTup - Avviso a sostegno alle Start_up innovative 2021”.

Applications may be submitted from 10 a.m. on 15 September 2021 until 12 noon on 31 December 2021 exclusively by accessing the address http://trasmissione.bandi.regione.umbria.it indicated in the receipt for completion of the application process.
