PRESS RELEASE

UmbriaLibri Love

Biblioteca Comunale di Terni, 10-12 February 2023

“UmbriaLibri" returns to Terni from 10 to 12 February with a special event related to the very special occasion of Valentine’s Day. And so, in the beautiful spaces of the  bct - Biblioteca Comunale di Terni ,

comes "UL Love," UmbriaLibri Love, three days entirely dedicated to romantic love, the passion of love, even its degenerations, the grammar of feelings to whose story will be dedicated poets, writers, entertainment personalities, scientists, and so on, in an event designed to give the public a multifaceted narrative that is simultaneously closely tied to the ground we want to explore: why do we fall in love? What happens to us? What are the stratagems to make a love relationship last the best and longest? These questions will be entertained by the "love rallies" of two great poets Franco Arminio and Davide Rondoni, the phytotherapeutic advice of Ciro Vestita, a well-known face on Rai1’s daytime show, the musical journeys of critic Dario Salvatori, who will arrive directly from Sanremo, the analyses of criminologist Flamina Bolzan, psychiatrist Donatella Marazziti, anchor Angela Rafanelli, the protagonists of the "Tell me about love" award led by the flair of writer Aurelio Picca, and, if that were not enough, Lorella Cuccarini’s account of her relationship with feelings and the great challenge of their durability.

"We return to Terni after a few months with an unprecedented proposal and the desire to offer those coming to the bct peaceful afternoons full of good things to listen to. The theme of romantic love is fascinating and can be analysed in a thousand ways, we have chosen the ones we think will be most interesting for those who will come. New challenge, new adrenaline," said artistic director Angelo Mellone, again assisted by writer Andrea Di Consoli and literary critic Andrea Caterini.

"In the operation of relaunching UmbriaLibri, which this regional administration has strongly wanted to pursue, the UmbriaLibri Love event, strengthened by the great success that the Terni edition had in terms of public and critics, intends to be a moment of reflection on one of the issues that most involve and mark our lives. With this, presenting a wide-ranging cultural offer capable of capturing the spirit of the times and, at the same time, anticipating a careful consideration of issues and topics proper to our age", commented Paola Agabiti, Regional Councillor for Culture and Tourism.

"Sviluppumbria, which implements the event, continues its commitment to this important occasion with the aim of supporting Umbrian publishing. In addition, we aim to grow the event and introduce UmbriaLibri and Umbria to a growing audience."  Michela Sciurpa, CEO of Sviluppumbria
