This trend has not received the attention it deserves, and in reiterating it we want to highlight the importance of the numbers.
The outlook for 2020 exceeds all expectations, with some significant new flights scheduled, connecting Perugia with the Netherlands, Austria, Tel Aviv and England. They are operated respectively by 4 flying partners new to our region: Transavia, Lauda. Aviv-Yafo and British Airways.
Speaking of added value, we would like to underscore the economic importance to the region of the influx of tourists by air. Specialist magazines indicate a return to the territory of about 50 euros for every euro invested in air transport. According to these statistical indexes the San Francesco di Assisi Airport contributes to increase the regional GDP by tens of millions of euros annually.
The airport management SASE has a balanced budget for the last 2 years and the same result is expected for 2019.
