Discovering Umbria: International travel agents specializing in the luxury segment visiting Umbria for a week-long B2B.

The group consists of travel agents active in the U.S., Canadian, British and European markets.

The tour participants had the opportunity to see some of the cultural treasures of our region, fully experiencing the atmosphere related to the preparations for the Festa dei Ceri in Gubbio, participated in the processing of traditional handmade ceramics and the recovery of Renaissance stuccoes, visited a winery, assisted in cheese-making and took part in a truffle hunting excursion.

Representatives of luxury accommodation facilities in Umbria were invited to participate in a B2B event, an important opportunity to meet with international buyers touring our region. The event was held on Thursday, May 11, with the involvement of more than twenty Umbrian luxury hotels and period residences.

The meeting, organized by Sviluppumbria as part of the promotional actions it carries out under a regional mandate, created an opportunity for international buyers to meet with Umbria's high-end accommodation offer in order to promote the local offer on the North American and Northern European markets.

CEO Michela Sciurpa, welcoming the visitors today, stressed that tourism represents a driving sector for the economic and sustainable development of Umbria.

The organization of the meeting and co-organization of the tour was handled by Sviluppumbria on behalf of the Umbria Region as part of its tourism promotion activities.
