Umbria: new opportunities for businesses through industrial symbiosis
Nearly 100 cases of potential synergy identified during the Assisi meeting
Assisi, 9 June 2017 – Creating a circular economy by locating and activating pathways for industrial symbiosis in Umbria: this was the goal of the meeting “New Opportunities for Business Through Industrial Symbiosis – Umbrian Industrial Symbiosis Workshop”, which took place in Assisi at the Palazzo del Capitano del Perdono in Santa Maria degli Angeli.
Initial results show that the participating companies shared 90 output resources and required 35 input resources; through comparison of the tables, about 100 synergies have been identified.
