Sviluppumbria one of 16 affiliates of the Be.CULTOUR project

Be.CULTOUR has selected Sviluppumbria and 15 others as project mirrors, from among 65 applicants.

Sviluppumbria has been invited to become a "mirror ecosystem" of the Horizon 2020 project Be.CULTOUR, led by CNR, the Italian Research Council, and whose main partner is ERRIN, the European Regions Research and Innovation Network. THe project aims to co-create and test sustainable human-centred innovations for circular cultural tourism through collaborative innovation networks/methodologies and improved investment strategies. The project particularly seeks to target deprived remote, periphera or deindustrialised areas and cultural landscapes as well as over-exploited areas to enhance inclusive economic growth, the wellbeing and reslilience of communities, the regeneration of nature and effective cross-border, regional and local cooperation.

As a project affiliate, Sviluppumbria will participate in the project's peer learning scheme in 2022 and 2023. Activities will include interviews, regular community conversations, tailored webinars, and offline learning labs, to closely interact with 6 Pilot Ecosystems committed to fostering regional development through circular cultural tourism.

The experience will allow Sviluppumbria to work closely with experts, partners and innovation ecosystem stakeholders from all over Europe to share ideas, practices and challenges linked to sustainable cultural tourism.
