The stand, managed by Sviluppumbria (Pad/Hall 3-stand C72/C76), will host fifteen tourism-related businesses including hotels, travel agencies, holiday farms and consortia, who will meet an audience of 43 thousand people and 1500 buyers from over 60 countries.
The fair is divided into thematic areas: Bit4Job, the space dedicated to recruiting for the tourism sector; BeTech, with a focus on digital, technology and start-ups in the sector; I love Wedding, with all the services for couples and planners; and MICE Village, the space entirely dedicated to the Meetings sector.
BIT is open to the public on Sunday 9 February from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday the 10th and Tuesday the 11th are reserved for journalists and the trade.
“We renew our participation at BIT again this year to reinforce the positive trend already recorded for arrivals and presences of both Italian and foreign tourists. A trend that confirms the appeal of our region towards a quality public,” comments the Regional Minister for Tourism, Paola Agabiti, who will be present at the stand on Monday, 10 February, together with the Managing Director of Sviluppumbria, Mauro Agostini.
“Cultural and eno-gastronomic tourism, as well as that linked to landscape and outdoor activities are our strengths. We also believe strongly in the valorisation of the paths of the spirit that cross our territories. Slow, quality tourism to better appreciate nature and its beauty and, at the same time, the historical and artistic heritage. And then the great events that contribute to project us into an international panorama,” adds Minister Agabiti.
“We have a specific objective,” she concludes, “that of further increasing arrivals and presences. We are convinced that Umbria has what it takes to succeed in markets all over the world”.
Participation in BIT is organized by Sviluppumbria with the support of ERDF, intervention line C, action 531/871, and is one of the many activities it carries out on behalf of the Umbria Region with the aim of promoting our region as a tourist destination on international markets.
