METSTRADE 2021: success for Umbria Nautical Cluster's participation in the Amsterdam Boat Show

19 November 2021

The Umbria Nautical Cluster successfully participated in METSTRADE 2021, the international exhibition dedicated to operators in the sector of components and accessories for the pleasure boating industry, which took place in Amsterdam from 16 to 18 November.

A complex edition in its management, also in view of the restrictions imposed by the Dutch Government, but which confirmed the high quality of the organisation and the presence of an international audience.

With the support of the Umbria Region, the Umbrian Nautical Cluster participated in the Superyacht Pavilion at Mets with a collective stand organised by Sviluppumbria SpA. This was a unique opportunity to reactivate and relaunch the international relations built up by the Cluster companies.

The President of the Cluster, Giampaolo Cicioni, with the support of the Regional Development Agency took part in some b2b meetings representing the entire entrepreneurial collective. “The cluster," noted President Cicioni, "was set up to pursue a shared project by pooling the ability of its nine member companies to produce components for mega yachts by exploiting the undisputed skills of Umbrian manufacturing.

The cluster offers the market a series of activities and services ranging from steelworking to hydraulics, from laser cutting to wood flooring and outdoor furniture, widely recognised as Umbrian excellence at international level. The Ambassador of Italy to the Netherlands Giorgio Novello and First Secretary Davide Colombo were welcome guests at the Umbrian stand. During his institutional visit, the Ambassador said: "Metstrade confirms itself as one of the most important fairs in the sector and the very high visibility of Italian companies is also the result of an excellent teamwork between institutions, associations and companies. The boating industry is an excellent tool for promoting Made in Italy products, with important repercussions on the whole economic sector".

The Ambassador's comment is directly reflected in the large number of visitors, a qualified international public able to appreciate the Cluster's offer.
