Fa' la cosa giusta!, the fair of critical consumption and sustainable lifestyles returns this November in digital form.
Sviluppumbria will participate as an institutional partner in the "National Walking Week - Walk and Live - Slower deeper".
The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism’s choice of thematic focus - the Year of Walks (2016), the Year of Slow Tourism (2019) and the Year of Tourism by Train (2020), confirm the central position of Umbria including nationally, of these key aspects. Spiritual and historical itineraries, re-proposed by modern walkers as a place of encounter and experience, are no longer just a marginal phenomenon but have become cultural products, able to generate economic growth and development for the territories. Walks virtuously combine culture, sustainability and development.
The now well-established context of Fa' la cosa giusta!, Cart'Armata Edizioni - Terre di mezzo Editore organizes a week of meetings, from 20 to 26 November 2020, dedicated to Walks. The meetings, strictly online, will take place every day from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Regional Agency will take part in the presentation of the "Report on the situation of routes in Italy and Spain" prepared by Terre di mezzo Editore. The presentation on Monday 23 November, by invitation, will present Umbria’s regional network of itineraries.
The schedule also includes two online cultural meetings dedicated to soft mobility and sustainable tourism. Walks, excursions, trekking, cycling, tourist railways, responsible tourism, the use of parks and oases, visits to minor historical centres: with proper management and promotion, they can be effectively integrated into the regional tourism sector.
This period of change is an opportunity to put the territory and its distinctive features at the centre.
"The look towards the future starts again from the territories" is the lietmotiv of the fair. Sviluppumbria’s participation is part of the reorganization of services rendered to the sector, contributing to enrich the range of Umbria’s tourism offer, including those based on its morphological characteristics.
