The rankings of the Large Call have been published, a great success for the tool promoted by the Umbria Region and managed by Sviluppumbria to promote the innovation processes of Umbrian SMEs and relaunch the potential of the regional production system.
The rankings of applications admitted for funding under the "Large" Call have been published. The Call, promoted by the Umbria Region as part of the broader Smart Attack manoeuvre with which the Regional Economic Development Department has made available to companies over 25 million euros for relaunch the potential of the local production system.
“Large” – to allow non-agricultural SMEs access to grants for investments mainly aimed at the digital transition such as production plants and industry 4.0 machinery, intangible assets, patents, investments in digital transformation as well as masonry works and consulting services – was managed by Sviluppumbria, the Umbria Region’s Economic Development Agency.
The financial endowment of the notice, published in June and closed in November 2021, is equal to 7 M € from the Development and Cohesion Fund-FSC, with eligible investments of between 150,000 and 1.5 M €. The call provides for access to subsidy schemes with intensities ranging from 10% to 50% of eligible expenditures.
Sviluppumbria was involved not only in the management of the call but also in innovative information activities both in the context of joint initiatives carried out with the Umbria Region and in the context of its own initiatives carried out especially online.
The results of the initiative, which received 131 applications for a total investment of over 75 M€ and a request for contributions that exceeded 17 M €, attests the extraordinary interest shown by regional companies towards the measure.
Many investments were presented for industry 4.0 and digital transformation, confirming that the policies and tools in support of the digital transition have been able to induce the desired reaction.
The evaluation of the applications was carried out by a specially established Technical Evaluation Committee, which was attended by representatives of Sviluppumbria, of the Umbria Region and experts in Industry 4.0.
48 applications were accepted for a potential of 300 new hires overall.
