Meeting between the Municipality of Perugia and Sviluppumbria

An important meeting between the City Council of Perugia and the President of Sviluppumbria, Michela Sciurpa, took place at the Palazzo dei Priori.

It was an opportunity to present the new Sviluppumbria and its present and future activities to all members of the City Council in order to reactivate a fruitful and collaborative institutional dialogue that has been unchanged for over 10 years.

The Regional Agency illustrated to the city Administration the financial instruments to support and sustain the entrepreneurial system, with particular reference to internationalisation, innovation and productive investments.

During the meeting, Council member Varasano requested information on the projects carried out and the results achieved in recent years by Sviluppumbria, and Council members Cicchi (social policies) and Giottoli (economic development) mentioned possible and potential areas of collaboration on the issues of social economy, the third sector, the promotion and development of entrepreneurship and support for the internationalisation of companies operating in the municipality.

The systematic dialogue that the Agency is building with the territory is fundamental both to facilitate the circulation of information and to contribute to the construction of a collaborative network.

President Michela Sciurpa expressed "a heartfelt thanks to Mayor Andrea Romizi, Council members Cristina Bertinelli and Clara Pastorelli and the entire Council. It is very important, especially in this period, to resume a constructive and collaborative dialogue between the Municipality of Perugia, the regional capital, and the Regional Economic Development Agency, joining institutional forces to work together towards a rapid recovery and relaunch of our regional economy".
