Umbria in Paris: the places of the plein-air painters in Umbria

18 June 2019

A press conference has been announced for Thursday, 20 June, to present Umbria as a destination and the itineraries of the plein-air painters in Umbria. The event will be held at the prestigious headquarters of the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris. The presentation focusing on the 19th c. landscape painters who depicted our region will be curated by Prof. Franco Passalacqua. French journalists and tourism professionals have been invited to attend.

Participants in the event will then have the opportunity to discover Umbria’s attractions and distinctive features and, in addition, meet ten Umbrian tourism professionals for a networking BtoB that will follow the conference. The networking will involve of about twenty buyers, selected by the ENIT office in Paris, who will be able to explore opportunities for business cooperation with their Umbrian counterparts.

The initiative, organised by Sviluppumbria on behalf of the Umbria Region, represents one of the many tourism promotion activities funded under ERDF ROP 531/871 Action C: Promotion of destinations.
