Umbria in a podcast

Umbria’s tourism promotion enters a new medium this week with the first recording of a podcast, a production of the British travel agency Not Just Travel. The podcast of about 40 minutes will describe Umbria’s attractions to an English-speaking audience ready to book holiday travel after many months of lockdown and restrictions. Sviluppumbria staff will speak with host Juliet Heather, and focus on walking, cycling, water sports at our lakes, plus of course enogastronomy. ENIT’s London office cooperated to provide the contact with Not Just Travel as part of the follow up to Sviluppumbia’s participation to WTM London last November 2020.
Umbertide native Masha Rener, who prepares Umbrian specialties in her role as executive chef at Lina Stores restaurants in London, will join in to talk about traditional foods and wine, and David Lang, who runs a country house hotel and an agriturismo in Umbria, will add insight about things British and other international visitors enjoy about our region.
Promoting Umbria as a destination, including by making and maintaining contacts with international travel journalists and tourism operators, is part of the work Sviluppumbria carries out on behalf of the Region.
