The Perugia-Ancona motorway christened the “Strada di Francesco”

Anas, the Italian motorways agency, announced that as part of observances for its 90^th anniversary, the new Perugia-Ancona motorway will be called the “Strada di Francesco” (Francis’ Road). The road, now nearing completion, will bring Umbria and Marche even closer together. Anas presented a communication plan and the campaign to enhance the experiences of cultural tourist to destinations along the new road, to will be carried out with the contribution of the Umbria Region, the Marche Region and the Franciscan Families.

Sviluppumbria cooperated in the creation of the new portal www.stradadifrancesco.it and will provide support to ensure that the infrastructure becomes the gateway to historical treasures, small villages, natural wealth and food and wine of Umbria, as well as the spiritual paths on the trail of places from the life of St. Francis, work to which it is already strongly committed.
