15 industrial plots in Maratta owned by the Region offered in concession

14 Mar 2019

Public notice has been published for the grant of concessions for the use of industrial land owned by the Umbria Region located in the Maratta industrial area of the municipality of Terni. There are 15 lots being made available at concessionary rates to encourage productive investment in the Terni-Narni crisis area and therefore the Region provides a further opportunity for companies that want to invest in this area. Fabio Paparelli, vice president of the regional council and councillor with responsibility for industrial policies, and Antonio Bartolini, regional councillor for assets, made the announcement. "The area,”, they explain, “is located between the Maratta Bassa road and the Orte-Falconara railway line, with a ring road system and parking facilities, allowing access to individual lots and the connection to the main services.”

"With this action,” note Paparelli and Bartolini, “the Umbria Region intends to promote development, entrepreneurship and employment growth in an area seriously affected by the economic crisis. As with the Banco della Terra project, we have put disused regional assets into a system, involving other bodies and private individuals for the requalification of assets, developing new production chains to exploit the peculiarities of the territory and create job opportunities. Economic operators, individual entrepreneurs, even craftsmen, and cooperatives, consortia, temporary groupings and ordinary consortia can apply. The concession will last 35 years".

The industrial land will be granted as-is; the aspiring concessionaires will have to declare in their application that they have examined the assets by direct inspection, that they have taken note of their functional state and of the state of maintenance and conservation, and that they find them suitable and suitable for the uses and developments envisaged in this notice, attaching a copy of the inspection report to be carried out between 19 March and 9 May 2019, under penalty of exclusion of the application.

Applications together with the required documentation must be received by Sviluppumbria S.p.A., via Don Bosco, 11, 06124 Perugia, by 12 noon on 15/05/2019. A Selection Committee will evaluate the applications received and Sviluppumbria will prepare concession contract(s) with the successful bidder(s). When the agreement expires, the assets will be returned to the full availability of the Umbria Region. The improvements made will remain the property of the Umbria Region without the outgoing concessionaire being able to claim any economic claim for any reason whatsoever and to claim any compensation or indemnity, including in terms of start-up, nor to claim any reimbursement. The right of the outgoing concessionaire to remove the additions made to the goods granted remains unaffected.
