Cycling and walking itineraries: the best investment for combining sustainable tourism growth and quality of life

Sviluppumbria, in cooperation with the Municipality of  Spoleto  and Regione Umbria, organises a seminar next 12 May in the beautiful Rocca Albornoziana in Spoleto to discuss how natural resources, hiking and cycling trails can support sustainable tourism development in Umbria. Key speakers, as Gloria Zavatta , Sustainability Manager at EXPO, and Carlo Maria Medaglia, Head of the Ministry of Environment will join environmental Ngos and local authorities to talk about  economy as an opportunity for tourism and the Umbrian economy. Together with hiking trails and religious paths, as The Way of St Francis, bicycle tourism in Umbria is indeed an important and popular attraction of "slow tourism" in Central Italy.
