Sviluppumbria awards prizes to the best business ideas by students of Alessi High School

17 May 2018

For the second year, students of Perugia’s Galeazzo Alessi high school, led by their teachers and experts from Sviluppumbria, have put themselves to the test, acting out the roles of young entrepreneurs and reproducing, through simulations, some phases of business activity.

The students have taken part in theoretical learning and hands-on exercises, learning preparatory principles and concepts in areas of law and economics.

Groups of 5 students presented their own business idea during a preselection, of which about 40 were selected for further evaluation.

The 12 best business ideas will participate in the final competition on 17 May (Hall of Honor of the Regional Council) with a 5-minute multimedia elevator pitch to a panel of entrepreneurs and representatives of institutions and the school. Winners will receive an e-book reader.

The event will also feature presentations by young Umbrian entrepreneurs. Other speakers include Umbria Region Councilor Antonio Bartolini, Sviluppumbria’s General Manager Mauro Agostini, the Director of the Regional School Office Antonella Iunti and Francesca Volpi, Headmistress of Alessi High School.
