Living Lab Umbria Open Day

19 July 2019

The Living Lab Umbria Open Day on 16 July was an opportunity to identify the social, economic and environmental needs of the territory and solve them with innovative solutions; a challenge and an opportunity to design and experiment in a collaborative way to propose innovative products, technologies and services and improve the quality of life in the city.

The meeting was attended by more than 30 representatives of research centres, universities, institutions, civic associations, etc. and the group work brought to light more than 50 shared needs on issues such as culture, tourism, digital humanities, social and digital inclusion, biotechnology, security, the environment and circular economy.

The Living Lab Umbria team assisted and supported the participants in defining and describing the collective needs that can be addressed and resolved together. Identifying the challenges helps to find original solutions, create new services and products that can help to build targeted tenders and calls for funding.
