Sviluppumbria manages and enhances the real estate assets owned by the region, according to the statutory powers and the provisions of the L.R. 1/2009, and also designs forms of promotion, marketing and attractive investments.
The assets of the Regional Authority consist of real estate and lands, classified as Non-available Assets (coming mainly from former State Companies for the State-owned Forests, Pious Works, University Works), Available Assets (former APT, former ESAU), State-owned Assets (former FCU, former ANAS, Lake Ports, Consortiums of Land Improvement).
There are over 700 real estate complexes throughout the region which include complexes of several buildings and almost 260, 000 hectares of land, mainly classified as unavailable.
It is now acknowledged at all political/institutional and economic levels, the extent to which public real estate assets constitutes a resource of major importance.
Public estates, in fact, not only constitute an unavoidable territorial service, but also represents the proof of a cultural identity. They also represent very important assets in the real estate market and a potential source of earnings for the public body owner.
All this imposes management and enhancement strategies that are consistent with the entire reference framework and realistic in order to face economically and socially better choices.
