80,900 potential tourists visited the pages of the new umbriatourism.it portal from 1st to 24th May.
Of these, 85% were from within Italy but there were also views from Germany, the United States, England, Switzerland and Belgium. It is a very encouraging sign, considering the challenges of this unprecedented period, and proof that Umbria is perceived as one of the destinations for summer holidays.
Thanks to the work carried out in recent months by Sviluppumbria in collaboration with the Umbria Region, the umbriatourism.it portal has been renewed, both in terms of functional graphics and services with the aim of improving the matching between supply and demand. In the new version, the possibility of publishing offers for wineries and oil mills as well as accommodation facilities, tourist guides, travel agencies and consortia has been added.
Expanding the offer of facilities and services that can be booked for a visit Umbria is a very important factor in attracting tourists to Umbria: 17% of the users who visited the portal in May had direct interactions with the published offers. In recent weeks 170 Umbrian tourism professionals have opened new accounts on umbriatourism.it, for a total of about 1600.
In the meantime, the resumption of flights to and from the San Francesco d’Assisi Airport in Perugia has also been announced. The destinations for the moment are Catania, London, Brussels, Vienna and Rotterdam.
