As part of activities aimed at promoting slow tourism and historical and cultural heritage, the Umbria Region and Sviluppumbria present the volume, "The Umbria of St. Benedict and St. Francis. Images of an artistic and devout path" realized with ERDF ROP funds.

The publication collects a selection of Benedictine and Franciscan works of art with the aim of rediscovering the many cultural paths and itineraries that connect Umbria with the wider interregional, national and European routes. The volume was created to promote the extraordinary environmental, cultural and spiritual heritage of the Region of Umbria.

In the volume, the touristic and spiritual values find their synergy through the Jubilee of the Catholic Church in 2025, and the five centenaries that, from 2023 to 2026, will mark the journey of the Franciscan family all over the world and conclude in 2026 in Assisi where the 800th anniversary of the death of the Patron Saint of Italy will be celebrated.
