Progetto Interreg Europe InnoCom: un supporto alle imprese per accedere alle informazioni per i bandi europei
Interreg Europe InnoCom project:
support to businesses to access information about calls
Perugia 31 July 2023 - Improving the way in which institutions communicate to disseminate information on calls for proposals to ensure a level playing field, even less experienced entrepreneurs can access the funding opportunities to which they are entitled: this is the objective of the Interreg Europe InnoCom project, approved in December 2022, of which Sviluppumbria is the lead partner, and which aims to improve the tools for communicating information on European calls for proposals through the exchange of good practices among EU partners that share the same critical issues.
"Throughout Europe," explain the insiders, "regional, national and local institutions make funding available to businesses in their areas for a variety of activities: to encourage companies to expand or innovate, enter new markets, undertake energy-saving improvements, recruit employees from traditionally disadvantaged groups, and for many other virtuous purposes.
"Although these opportunities are open to all eligible companies, in practice understanding the terms of reference and procedures can be a barrier to entry for many small operators."
The Interreg Europe InnoCom project aims to overcome these problems: Sviluppumbria leads the project partnership, composed of the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency (Romania), the University of Latvia, the Municipality of Ivacna Gorica (Slovenia), the Hauts de France Region (France), Carlow County Council (Ireland) and the Zemgale Planning Region (Latvia).
The Umbria Region participates as an associate partner as the responsible body for the ERDF PR 2021-27.
The InnoCom partnership brings together municipal and regional authorities that will contribute approaches and experiences from different contexts, from regions to small cities to large metropolitan districts.
Feedback and cooperation with SMEs, business associations, academia, local institutions and other players in the SME ecosystem will be ensured through the active involvement of stakeholder groups.
The partners will meet regularly with local stakeholders and the latter will participate in interregional exchange events.
The Umbrian stakeholders involved so far are representatives of Europe Direct, ANCI, Villa Umbra, Confcommercio and the University of Perugia - Department of Political Science.
The project started its activities with a launch meeting in Perugia in March and an interregional exchange meeting in Latvia in June.
InnoCom is co-financed by the European Union (ERDF) through the Interreg Europe programme with a total budget of EUR 1,511,394 for the period 2023-2027.
