A four-day festival to promote and celebrate walking itineraries in Italy and abroad is taking place in Assisi from 16 to 19 June. These itineraries, in Italy and abroad, from the Via Francigena to Santiago di Compostela and more, bring out the constituent elements of a tourism demand that goes beyond the motivations of faith and spirituality with the environment, sustainability, active holidays, art, and cultural heritage. International religious tourism involves the pastoral dimension and the cultural one, with destinations that combine the spiritual pilgrimage with that of art, culture, spirituality, social ethics.
The event is organized by Rete Assisi Turismo+, with the brand Discover Assisi Convention Bureau, in collaboration with Rete System Srl and with the patronage and participation of the Umbria Region, the Municipality of Assisi, ENIT, Federalberghi Umbria, Fiavet and Sviluppumbria.
