“Umbria’s Black Diamonds”

A journalist and a photographer from the UK are in Umbria this week to learn about our region’s “black diamonds”, truffles. They will accompany truffle dogs on the hunt, have hands-on cooking lessons, visit a truffle museum and a family business that processes truffles, and visit truffle-sellers. Their culinary tour will also take them to an oil mill and a winery, to taste other excellent local products, as they visit Assisi, Trevi, Spello, Montefalco, Scheggino, Città di Castello and Gubbio.

The article will be published in the magazine Harper’s Bazaar in spring 2020.

The press tour is one of many tourism promotion activities carried out by Sviluppumbria on behalf of the Umbria Region.
