UmbriaLibri 2022

28 - 30 October 2022

The 28th edition of UmbriaLibri, the publishing and cultural review promoted by the Umbria Region and directed by Angelo Mellone, will take place from 28 to 30 October in Perugia at the Complesso Monumentale di San Pietro, the Sala dei Notari of Palazzo dei Priori, the Sala delle Colonne of Palazzo Graziani and will continue in Terni, from 2 to 4 December, in the bct Biblioteca Comunale di Terni.

"Umbrialibri 2022 presents itself from this year with an even richer and more articulated format," declares Michela Sciurpa, CEO of Sviluppumbria, “after the success of the last edition, we are proud to have been confirmed by the Umbria Region as the implementing party of this event, which is increasingly a driving force for cultural, tourist and economic promotion, according to the integrated approach that distinguishes Sviluppumbria's mission to support businesses and the territory."

This year's guests include Marco Bonini, Massimo Bubola, Alessandro Campi, Paolo Caucci von Saucken, Aldo Cazzullo, Massimo Cecchini, Giuseppe Cerasa, Andrea Caterini, Virman Cusenza, Costantino D'Orazio, Maurizio de Giovanni, Andrea Di Consoli, Rachele Ferrario,  Miguel Gotor, Matteo Grandi, Barbara Lachi, Ayumi Makita, Luca Manfredi, Marta Ottaviani, Pierluigi Pardo, Sergio Rizzo, Fabrizio Rondolino, Gianni Scipione Rossi, Yari Selvetella, Caterina Varzi, and Andrea Vianello.

“UmbriaLibri is an event, a festival, a party, a fair, an opportunity for citizens and the world of literature to meet, which has existed for years and in recent years has been able to carve out a distinctive role for itself in the field of initiatives related to the universe of books. To put it in marketing terms, it has been able to gain its own positioning. And this tradition must be carefully guarded, because UmbriaLibri is perhaps the only book event that has in its genetic code the mission of enhancing local publishing. But, like everything else, UmbriaLibri needs an update, a redefinition of its perimeter, that is: what lies within this event? What makes it different and, therefore, attractive? The work we will be doing in the coming years, and which constitutes a bit of the profound sense of the task entrusted to me as artistic director, is to renew UmbriaLibri's framework without, however, dismantling or underestimating its decades of activity, and successs,” says Angelo Mellone, Artistic Director of UmbriaLibri.
