The prestigious British daily The Telegraph has included the Via di Francesco on a list of “25 life-changing adventures for 2019”, published on 3 January. The Telegraph, across all platforms, is read by 3.3M people. This is another recognition of the work that the Region, Sviluppumbria, associations and volunteers have invested in promoting and maintaining this slow tourism route.
In October, the Via di Francesco was awarded best European ‘Destination of Sustainable Cultural Tourism’ by the European Cultural Tourism Network and Europa Nostra, one of the most important European organisations dealing with the protection of cultural heritage.
