InnovUp - Italian Innovation & Startup Ecosystem is the new association of the Italian start-ups and innovation ecosystem, created from the synthesis of two of the best-known associations in the sector, APSTI (Association of Science and Technology Parks), which has been active since the mid-1990s, and Italia Startup (Italian Association of Start-ups and Innovation), founded in 2012 following the launch of the Italian Startup Act.
InnovUp acts as a privileged interlocutor on innovation and start-up issues with central institutions (government and parliament above all), regional and European institutions.
APSTI, which brings together 20 Science and Technology Parks with 150 research centres and over 3,500 host companies, oversees components of Research & Development, technology transfer, the growth of innovative enterprises and territorial roots.
Italia Startup's primary focus is on start-ups and - alongside them - all the organisations that support them, with over 200 associated accelerators/incubators, corporations, scale-ups and enablers. InnovUp is a member of international associations and networks such as ESN (European Start Up Network) and IASP (International Association of Science and Technology Parks).
InnovUp has recently contributed to the Decreto Rilancio (Relaunch Decree) with proposals that have found their fulfilment in the Art 38 "Strengthening of the Ecosystem of Innovative Start-Ups".
The webinar, organised by 3A-Agri-Food Technology Park of Umbria in collaboration with InnovUP within the Agri-Innetwork 2021 Programme, intends to present in Umbria the new Association, of which 3APTA is a member, and the services and financial instruments available today for Start-Ups with particular regard to those interested in the agri-food sector.
