Webinar: Industry for a circular and clean economy

Sviluppumbria hosts the webinar "Industry for a circular and clean economy" on Friday 13 November 2020 at 11.00 a.m.

The European Commission has launched the European Green Deal, a new call of the Horizon 2020 programme that provides €1 billion for research and innovation projects that help address Europe's environmental and climate challenges. The call is structured into 8 thematic areas covered by the European Green Deal:

  1. Increasing climate ambition
  2. Clean, affordable and secure energy
  3. Industry for a clean and circular economy
  4. Energy and resource efficient buildings
  5. Sustainable and smart mobility
  6. Farm to fork
  7. Biodiversity and ecosystems
  8. Zero-pollution, toxic-free environments

The call is open from 22 September 2020 until 26 January 2021. Projects selected are scheduled to start in autumn 2021.

This webinar will be an opportunity to explore the call’s thematic area 3 "Industry for a circular and clean economy", offering ideas and reflections functional to the presentation of projects in the sector.

Speakers: Davide Amato, head of sector at the European Commission's DG Research and Innovation and Roberta De Carolis, researcher at ENEA's Sustainability Department.

The seminar, organised by Sviluppumbria in collaboration with the University of Perugia, will be held on zoom and registration is required.
