Umbria at the World Tourism Event in Padua, 23-25 September

This year's World Tourism Event, focused on tourism in UNESCO cities and sites and now in its twelfth edition, took place in Padua from 23 to 25 September. The conference promotes slow tourism and the enhancement of cultural excellence represented by the sites recognized by UNESCO.

Sviluppumbria was present at the Umbria stand to meet participants, distribute information and answer questions about the UNESCO sites in our region. A rich conference programme was organised with many presentations on topics related to cultural heritage and tourism, for professionals, students and the visiting public.

Participation in WTE, which draws buyers and tourism professionals from China, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Israel and the United Kingdom, has been organised by Sviluppumbria on behalf of the Umbria Region, using funds from the ERDF ROP 2014-2020, Actions 5.3.1.
