The new Italian Ambassador to the Netherlands visits the Umbria stand at METS

24 November 2016

Umbria and the companies of the Nautical Cluster had great success at METS TRADE 2016, the most important international event dedicated to B2B meetings for the boating industry - construction materials, components, equipment and nautical equipment in general.

The stand, promoted by the Umbria Region and realized with the support of Sviluppumbria, allowed the Cluster to present itself to potential business partners as a single contractor for both the construction and management of complex contracts, and for the design and execution of new products created through integration of skills among its members.

The new Italian Ambassador to the Netherlands S.E. Perugini visited the Umbria stand and praised the idea of exhibiting as a group, and the level of quality and technological precision represented by the companies there.

Since 2011 the Umbria Nautical Cluster has taken part in the two most important international nautical fairs, MYS Montecarlo and METS Amsterdam, thanks to the Umbria Region’s invaluable support, and its belief in the high specialization of the member companies. The Umbrian Cluster has gained recognition as one of the most important players in the sector. In four years it has taken on two important commissions for Wider Yachts, to create the interiors and exteriors of the 150’ superyacht  presented at MYS Montecarlo 2016, and of the 165-footer, on which the cluster will be working over the next two years.
