Umbria tells its story through regional specialties at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York from 23 to 25 June

Umbria is in New York to take part in the 68th edition of the Summer Fancy Food Show, the most important event in the US food industry, to be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York from 23 to 25 June. This prestigious show, which every year hosts between 20,000 and 30,000 buyers specialised in food, wine, gift and department stores, supermarkets and restaurants, represents an extraordinary opportunity for the marketing, promotion and valorisation of Umbrian excellence. The event will promote business access to the US market, boosting export and incoming activities.

The institutional mission of the Umbria Region was organised and led by the Regional Councillor for Economic Development with the collaboration of Sviluppumbria S.p.A. The objective is to tell the story of Umbria through its typical products, enhancing simple flavours that are capable of conquering even the most refined palates.

Umbrian participation will allow companies to establish direct and targeted relations in the US market, facilitating access to distribution channels and favouring the introduction of new companies. The United States is the main non-EU partner for the region and the second destination country for Umbrian exports.

Our region will be present in the Italian Pavilion with a dedicated regional stand, strongly desired by the regional administration to increase the visibility of the 10 selected companies, which will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings with the numerous buyers present.

The stand will host three daily show-cooking sessions by Umbrian chef Andrea Tiberi, who will delight buyers with preparations and tastings of local products. In addition, on Monday 24 June, the stand will host the Italian influencer Aurora Cavallo, known online as Cooker Girl, who has conquered American and New York kitchens.

Umbrian excellence will also be presented in the prestigious shop Dipalo's Fine Foods, one of the reference points for fine food in New York. Here, buyers and stakeholders will have the opportunity to discover and appreciate the products of the Umbrian territory.

The Summer Fancy Food Show represents a prestigious showcase for Umbrian excellence, responding to the growing demand for exports to the USA and promoting awareness and appreciation of regional products.
