“Sanfra", the season staged at the San Francesco al Prato auditorium, promoted by Mea Concerti, was presented on 5 February during a press conference held in the Sala Rossa of Palazzo dei Priori.
Attending were Michela Sciurpa (CEO of Sviluppumbria), Leonardo Varasano (Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Perugia), Margherita Scoccia (Councillor for Urban Planning of the Municipality of Perugia), Lucia Fiumi and Gianluca Liberali (Mea Concerti).
The "SanFra" season is realised with the support of the Regione Umbria's call for proposals, managed by Sviluppumbria, “Spettacoli dal vivo anno 2023" RP ERDF 2021 - 2027. Az. 1.3.4. - Support for tourism, tourism services, film, audiovisual, cultural and creative and social enterprises.
"With the start of this new season," stated CEO Michela Sciurpa, "more opportunities are opening up not only for the city of Perugia, but for Umbria as a whole, from several points of view: there will be a wider range of quality cultural offerings, it will be an opportunity for greater usability of the architectural heritage, one more reason to enjoy this wonderful jewel of Perugia that is the Auditorium of San Francesco al Prato. But, above all, we can touch with our own hands the commitment of our regional administration in wanting to be at the side of our groups. In fact, aim the call for proposals is intended to support the performing arts sector, with a view to restarting and relaunching Umbria's cultural sector and with the aim of stimulating the creation of new productions, in a cross-sector and multi-channel perspective, favouring collaboration between cultural sectors and institutions. By supporting the SanFra project, concrete support is given to an event that is a driving force for cultural, tourist and economic promotion'.
