Sviluppumbria with the Umbrian Aerospace Pole at the Farnborough International Air Show – 11-17 July 2016

Umbria, with the support of Sviluppumbria, is present at Farnborough International Air Show 2016 where are taking place many bilateral meetings and appointments with international counterparts will take place, to expand collaborative and supplier relationships with important customers around the world.

The exhibition, organized by Farnborough International Limited and owned by the Society of British Aircraft Constructors (SBAC) - the company of British aircraft manufacturers – is, with that of Paris-Le Bourget, one of the two most important trade events in the sector.

Sviluppumbria, which carries out activities to support the internationalization of the Umbrian companies on behalf of the Region, had the commitment to give continuity to the Pole’s presence at the fair, supporting the promotion of the aerospace cluster and ensuring important opportunities for companies of the sector to grow and increase their exports.

The Pole’s companies participating at Farnborough 2016 - Comear, Fucine Umbre, NCM, OMA, Skyrobotic, Umbra Cuscinetti - are directly showing their industrial expertise in a setting where the major players in the sector traditionally make important announcements about acquisition contracts of the sort able to drive the economy of entire regions.

Umbria produces components of the highest level for both for the aerospace and defence sectors, with its 27 companies and 2,900 highly qualified employees who in the midst of the economic crisis have been able to increase turnover by 20% with profits of 88%.

The Umbrian Aerospace Pole, which has represented an important selection of our region’s companies in the aerospace industry since 2008, is present at the Farnborough International Air Show 2016.
