Winners announced of the 'La mia Impresa' award, organised in collaboration with Perugia's Liceo Scientifico Alessi

On Tuesday 24 May, at the Liceo Scientifico G. Alessi's Aula Magna, the final competition of the La Mia Impresa project was held as part of the transversal skills and orientation courses promoted by the institute for third year students.

Participating as members of the jury were Sviluppumbria's CEO Michela Sciurpa, the Agency's Head of Operations Mauro Marini and entrepreneurs Arianna Guarducci of GQUADRODESIGN Snc with Laura Boco and Nicola Maramigi of Cioccolato Perugia Sas.

For the Institute, Professor Paola Tommasoni, PCTO activities coordinator, introduced the proceedings.

At the end of an intense morning, in which the finalist students presented their business idea in 7 minutes through the so-called 'elevator pitch', the top three business ideas were awarded prizes. First prize went to a group of 3°F students who, with their ECO MASK COAT project, came up with innovative panels that can be used for the thermal insulation of buildings made by recycling masks.

In second place was the ESPRINTER project, which devised ecological printers with refillable toners made from natural products such as coffee.

In third place was PLASTIKE', which proposes recovering plastic to make textile filaments suitable for the production of garments.

All along the way, the students were supported by the Institute's teachers: Professors Nadia Piampiano, Federica Mingozzi and Ida Vento.

Winners were presented with book vouchers.

Dr. Sciurpa, in her closing speech, congratulated all the students on the quality of the projects presented and on their ability to study and deepen the topics covered both from a technical point of view and for the aspects related to the entrepreneurial role. Sviluppumbria will continue to support business creation by putting young people at the forefront and guaranteeing support and presence alongside schools in experiences such as today's to cultivate an entrepreneurial culture in the younger generations.
