NEXTAPPENNINO: Calls for proposals open 1 September. Online portal to access incentives
The internet portal nextappenino.gov.it is online and operational as of today to allow citizens, businesses and public administrations to learn about and access resources and facilities from the NRRP Supplementary Fund for the areas damaged by the 2009 and 2016 earthquakes in Central Italy.
NextAppennino, which has an endowment of 1 billion 780 million euros beyond that of the national NRRP, is a specific program to support the development of the territories of Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche and Umbria affected by the earthquake, with funds for infrastructure and incentives for business investment, launched by the government in 2021. It is designed to accompany the physical and material reconstruction of the municipalities and territories of the Central Italian Apennines, which alone is not sufficient to restore development prospects adequate to the great potential of these territories, and is implemented by the Coordination group headed by the 2016 Earthquake Commissioner, Giovanni Legnini, with the participation of the Head of the 2009 Earthquake Mission Structure, Carlo Presenti, the Head of the Casa Italia Department, Elisa Grande, the Presidents of the four Regions and representatives of the Mayors, which in recent months has already approved the unified program of interventions and all the implementing Ordinances.
Promotion activities consist of information and guidance activities, aimed at businesses, associations, citizens and local authorities, including through the organization and promotion of events in the area.
Technical and management assistance activities consist of:
- support for participation in calls for proposals through a helpdesk service accessible to potential beneficiaries of facilities related to the sub-measures covered by this Convention;
- activities to promote specific seminars and workshops for potential beneficiaries of facilities related to the sub-measures covered by this Convention;
- activities to promote collaboration among potential beneficiaries of the facilities of the sub-measures covered by this Convention with the aim of implementing unified projects consistent with the needs of the territory.
Sviluppumbria has set up dedicated helpdesks with staff specially trained by Invitalia, at its offices in Perugia, Terni and Foligno; potential beneficiaries of the facilities can contact them free of charge.
