San Francesco airport: in March the new route Perugia-Frankfurt

Following the announcement in September of the new Ryanair connection between Perugia and Frankfurt am Main, which will operate starting on March 27th 2018 with two weekly flights, the promotion and co-marketing activities planned by Sviluppumbria, SASE - San Francesco d'Assisi airport and Ryanair are starting.

Sviluppumbria will present the initiatives and new opportunities for tourism and economic development for operators in the Umbria region on Monday January 30 at 11am at its offices in Perugia.  

The German market (191,439 presences from January to September 2017) is one of the largest and most interesting for cultural, religious and nature tourism in Umbria. This datum also confirmed by the Statio Peregrinorum (reception office for pilgrims arriving in Assisi on foot) which reports that more German pilgrims walk the Via di Francesco, than from any other country of origin.

The new link with Frankfurt represents a further opportunity for the development of tourist flows in Umbria, also considering the possibility of exploiting the interconnections with other European destinations offered by the German hub.

The main representatives of the Umbrian tourist and incoming offer and the press have been invited to the meeting. Speakers will include the President and the Director of Sviluppumbria, Gabrio Renzacci and Mauro Agostini, the President of SASE Ernesto Cesaretti and the manager of Ryanair for Italy John Alborante.
